Clarissa Arnold was born April 10, 1824, SC, the fifth child of Ira Arnold and  Mary Saxon Arnold.  On October 24, 1848 she married Dr. Thompson Pressly, the son of Alexander Edmiston Pressley, of Ninety Six District, South Carolina.  His wife was Tabitha Cothran Thompson, the daughter of Moses Thompson and Sarah Cothran.

This book includes Arnold family Bible records, and names of the siblings of Clarissa Arnold and their spouses.  It discusses Clarissa Arnold's grandfather, Hendrick Arnold, his brother William Arnold, and details land transactions (1802) in SC,  and other pertinent family information.
