What Little is Known...

Sometime before 1880 a young woman by the name of Ann, (last name unknown), of Monroe County, AR married Mr. William Brooks JACO.  They had two children.

In 1880 Mr. Jaco had the misfortune to be sentenced to prison in Pulaski Co., AR. While there, his wife, Ann Jaco, crossed the Arkansas border into  Mississippi, and married Mr. John PRESSLEY.  It's not known if Ann and Mr. Jaco obtained a divorce, or when the marriage to John Pressley occurred.

Ann and John Pressley had two children, Mae and Frank, both born in MS.  The photo at left gives a hint as to where this family might be found, as the child in the photo, Willie Mae Jaco, was raised in Crenshaw, MS.  Willie Mae is the daughter of William Wallace Jaco, Ann Pressley's son by William Brooks Jaco.
