In Pursuance of an Order of the Worshipfull Court of Culpeper Dated the
Twentieth Day of April 1778 We the subscribers met and Divided the Lands mentioned in the said Order Between Peter Presley Thornton and Presley Thornton according to the Will of the Hounourable Presley Thornton Deceased the upper part of the land Extending and lying on the South side of the road leading to Chesters Gapp up to Jordans north line of his Lott thence down the said line to Carders Corner being two Hikories and ared oak in Jordans line thence with Carders line to the River being the Division Between Thornton and Beaverley the uper part being three thou'd four hundred acres by Estimation which Lott Drawn has fallen to Peter Presley Thornton all the remaining part of the said land lying below the lines above Described Supposed to be about four thousand acres have fallen To Presley Thornton by lott with the following advantage of the four uper Lotts being No. 23..24..28..29 having the Liberty to Get Timber for the particular care of the said Lotts out of the Stony Flatt being part of the land of Peter Presley Thornton Given under our hands this 23rd Day of April 1778.
