John PRESLEY to Aaron JACKSON } Deed
The State of South Carolina
Know all men by these presents that I John PRESLEY of the State and District of Edgefield for and in Consideration of the Sum of four hundred dollars to me paid by Aaron JACKSON of the District and State aforesaid have granted bargained Sold and released and by these presents do grant bargain Sell and release unto the Said Aaron JACKSON all that plantation of tract of Land containing two hundred and fifty Six acres more or less Situate lying and being on the waters of Turkey Creek waters of Savannah River bounding on Lands held by Joseph MINTER Lands belonging to John BLOCKER Junr. And lands held by Wm. STROM. Thence being had to a plat hereunto anexed will more and fully and at large appear Together with all and singular the rights members heraditaments & Appertenances to the said premises belonging or in anywise incident or appertaining. To have and to hold all & singular the premises before mentioned unto the Said Aaron JACKSON his heirs & assigns forever. And I do hereby bind myself my Heirs Executors & administrators To Warrant and forever Defend all and Singular the Said premises unto the Said Aaron Jackson his heirs & assigns against myself and my heirs & against every other person or persons whomsoever lawfully claiming or to Claim the same or any part thereof. Witness my hand and Seal this third day of March in the year of Lord one thousand Eight hundred & Eighteen and in the forty second year of the Independence of the United States of America – Signed Sealed & Delivered in the presence of
