For and in consideration of the sum of two hundred dollars,
to each one one hundred dollars, making the two
hundred dollars to us in hand paid the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged
have this day bargained and sold and conveyed to John A. Greer of Madison
County State of Tennessee our entire interest in the two tracks of land, one
containing 97 acres and the other tract 3 acres a portion lying and being in
the 7th Civil District of Madison county and State of Tennessee it
being President Pressley’s old homestead.
Now we A M Pressley and Dora Pressley of the county of
Madison and state aforesaid have this day bargained, sold and conveyed to John
A. Greer of said county and state aforesaid our entire interest in the two
tracts of land and is bounded on the east by AD Hurt, south by Hurt and John A.
Greer, west by Harris, North by AD Hurt for a more particular description refer
to Deed by Allen DeBerry made to President Pressly one deed made in March 1871 and one in August 1873.
now we do sell and convey to John A. Greer him and his heirs all the right and
title we have or may have in said land to have and to hold the same to the said
John A. Greer him and his heirs of assigns we warrant and defend the title to
said Greer against all claimants whomsoever to our part of said land.
This given under our hand an seal the 27 day of
November 1886.
