For and in consideration
of the sum of one hundred dollars to me in hand paid and the receipt of same
acknowledged hereby, have this day bargained and sold my entire interest in the
two tracks of land One tract containing 97 acres and one tract 3 acres and a
fraction lying and being in the 7th civil district of Madison county
and state of Tennessee it being President Pressly’s old homestead, now I,
Amanda Pressly of the county of Madison aforesaid have this day bargained and
sold to John A. Greer of Madison County and State of Tennessee my entire
interest in the two tracks of lad, the land is bounded on the East by AD Hurt;
South by Hurt and John A. Greer; West by the Harris land and on the north by AD
Hurt for more particular description of said land refer to Deeds of Allen
DeBerry to President Pressley one deed made the March the 28, 1871 and one deed
made the 4 day of August 1873. Now I do sell and convey to John A. Greer him
and his heirs all the right and title I have or may in said land. To have and
to hold, the same to said John A. Greer him and his heirs or assigns forever
and I warrant and defend the title to said Greer against a claimants of my
(pars) of said land.
This given under my hand and seal this the 24 day of Nov. 1885.
