Wm. BRAZIER
Know all men by these presents that I John PRESSLEY
of the District and State aforesaid for and in consideration of the Sum of Five
hundred dollars to me paid by William BRAZIER Sen. of the same place having
granted, bargained, and and by these presents also Grant bargain and Sell unto
the Said William BRAZIER A certain lot of land in the Village of Edgefield on
the North Side of the three Quarter Branch, bounded on the East by the Street
along which runs the main Cambridge Road, On the north by a Crop Street bounding
the lot of Waddy THOMPSON Esquire, on the South by a lot belonging to Capt.
Dan’l BIRD & on the west by lands of
Eland SIMKINS Containing one acre, formerly Occupied by James KIRBEE. Together with all and Singular the
rights, Members, hereditaments and Appurtenances to the Said premises belonging
or in any wise incident or appertaining To Have and To Hold all and Singular the
premises to the Said William BRAZIER and his heirs forever, and I do hereby bind
myself my heirs -- (looks like LH) to warrant and defend the Said lot of land to
the Said William BRAZIER & his heirs against all and every person or persons
whatsoever lawfully Claiming or to Claim the Same or Any part thereof - Given under my hand and Seal this

Be it remembered that on the twenty third day of
February Anno. Domini 1824, personally came before me Sarah PRESSLEY the wife of
the within named John PRESSLEY by who upon being privately and Separately
examined by me did declare that She does freely & voluntarily and without
any compulsion dread or fear of any person or persons whomsoever renounce
release and forever relinquish unto the within named William BRAZIER and his
heirs forever all her interest and right of Dower of in and to all and Singular
the premises within mentioned & contained.

oath that he was present and did See John PRESSLEY Sign Seal and Deliver the
within Deed of conveyance to Doct. William BRAZIER for the uses and purposes
therein mentioned and that C. PRESSLEY was a subscribing Witness with himself in
the presence of each other and the parties concerned to the Due Execution
thereof, Sworn to before me this
