William PURSLEY

The State of South Carolina  

Know all men by these presents that I Thomas HENDERSON of the District of Edgefield in the State aforesaid in consideration of the sum of two hundred Dollars to me paid by William PURSLEY of the State and District aforesaid Have Granted bargained sold and released And by these presents do Grant bargain sell and Release unto the said William PURSLEY all that tract of land lying situate in the District aforesaid on Beaverdam Creek Waters of Savannah River being ninety nine Acres more or less and bounded as follows South by Green ingers land West by Eli Hendersons land North by Stalworth's land East by Thos. Hendersons land.  Together with all and singular the rights members hereditaments and appurtenances to the said premises belonging or in any wise incident or appertaining To have and to hold all and Singular the premises before mentioned unto the Said William PURSLEY his heirs and assigns forever, And I do hereby bind my self my heirs Executors and Administrators to warrant and forever defend all and Singular the Said premises unto the Said William PURSLEY his heirs and assigns against my self my heirs and against every person whomsoever lawfully claiming or to claim the same or any part thereof Witness my hand and Seal this Seventh day of November in the Year one thousand Eight hundred and three and in the twenty Sixth year of the Independence of the United States of America.

 Memorandum that on the sixthteenth day of May one thousand eight hundred and four Personally Appeared before me Jacob Youngblood and being duly sworn sayeth that he saw Thomas Henderson sign seal and deliver the within Deed for the uses and purposes within mentioned and that he with James Sandefer in the presence of each other Witness the due Execution thereof.
