Kathy Presley Wishart is the grand-daughter of Dallas Vernon "Dallie" Presley, born December 24, 1880, and died  November 26, 1944, and his wife Hettie Mae Guthrie who was born September 4, 1898 and died July 1, 1961.  Hettie Guthrie Presley had a second marriage to Thomas C. Barnett after Dallas V. Presley passed away.  Each of these three individuals is buried at Valley Grove / Springs Cemetery.

                               

Dallas Vernon Presley and Hettie Mae Guthrie Presley were the parents of nine children.  Several of their children, their children's spouses, and their grandchildren are buried in this lovely cemetery. 

                                                        

Dallas and Hettie Presley's second eldest child and eldest  son was Truman Presley, born January 18, 1916. Truman died March 24, 1970. His wife Mary was born May 22, 1919.  Mary died on Christmas Eve, 1958.

  

Dallas and Hettie Presley's  fourth child, third daughter, was Beatrice Presley.  "Bea" was born April 18, 1918 and died February 20, 1997.

                                      

Adelia Athaline Presley was born June 8, 1927.  She was the eighth child and fifth daughter of Dallie and Hettie Guthrie Presley.  She married Jacob Knight, born November 17, 1917.  Adelia Presley Knight died January 16, 2000.  Her husband Jake Knight preceded her in death, on June 17, 1971. Their daughter, Sandra Etta Knight, is buried near them. 

 

 The youngest child of Dallie and Hettie Guthrie Presley is buried near his parents.  
Donald H. Presley was born October 25, 1930, and died December 24, 1997.
