The music playing on this page is Pachelbel’s “Canon and Gigue in D.” Johann Pachelbel (1653 - 1706) was a German composer of music for Protestant churches. He was a church organist by trade, and taught organ to members of the Bach family. He left behind many wonderful and complex pieces of music. This gigue is the most commercially well known of his pieces.
