TEXT OF THE ABOVE DOCUMENT FOLLOWS

 Wilkes County

Know all men by these presents that we Enoch Presnell and Elijah Presnell in the State aforesaid are held and firmly bound unto the Governor of the State of North Carolina for the time being, in the Just and full Sum of five hundred pounds current Money of the State, to be paid to the Said Governor or his Sucessors, or assigness, to the which payment will and truly to be made and Done, we bind ourselves, our heirs, Executors, and Adminstrators,

Sealed with our Seals, and Stated this 26 Day of February AD 1832. The Conditions of the above obligations, is Such that whereas, the above bounden Enoch Presnell hath made application for a licens for a Marrage to be Celebrated between him and Elizabeth Presnell of the County aforesaid, now in Case it Shall not appear hereafter that there is any lawfull Cause to be obstrued the Said Marrage, then the above obligation to be void otherwise to Remain in full forse and virtue,
