"Press" was born 1916 in Selma, Dallas County, Alabama,
the only son of Futhey Brisco Pressley, Sr. and Minnie Lowery.
He served with the United States Navy during World War II
as a crypto analyst. After the war he remained an employee of the
federal government for the rest of his working life.
