'TWO P.I. MARINES ARE KILLED MONDAY IN AIKEN COUNTY'
'Two Paris Island Marines were killed instantly around 3:45 p.m. Sunday night when the car in which they were riding crashed into the rear of a trailer truck. The wreck occurred near Gee Beech Island in Aiken County.
The dead were identified as Captain Norman Dale Fornier, about 30, of Throckton, Wash., driver of the 1956 Ford involved in the wreck and Pfc. George I. Pressley, 20, of North Augusta, Route 3, the only passenger in the car.
The driver of the truck told Aiken County Coroner James Gregory he had just reached the top of a hill when he was hit. He said he was going about 15 miles per hour at the time.
The coroner, members of the South Carolina Highway Patrol and the Military Police investigated the accident.'
