Josie V. Steele Presley of 1528 Tom McCall Road, Maryville, passed away at 10:50 p.m., April 5, at the home of her sister-in-law, Anna Rae Steele. She was a member of Union Grove Baptist Church for 51 years. She was 65.

Preceded in death by her husband, William Presley Jr.; her parents, Labe and Ora Steele; sister, Drotha Freeman; brothers, Ralph, M.F. and her twin brother, Bobby G. Steele; special friend, Louie Johnson.

Survivors include: daughters and sons-in-law-Barbara and Andy Johnson of Woodstock, Ga.; Peggy and Paul Myers and Kathy Diane and Steve Hinzman of Maryville. Sons and daughters-in-law: Charles and Hilda Presley of Maryville; Ronald and Alice Presley and Stanley Presley, all of Walland. Sisters-in-law, Anna Rae Steele of Maryville; Evelyn Steele of Knoxville; brother-in-law, Hobert Freeman of Powell, She also has 14 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Thanks to the special friends of Union Grove Baptist Church and community for their support during Josie’s illness.

Funeral services were 2 p.m., Thursday, at Union Grove Baptist Church, with the Revs. Bill Webb and Ronnie Moore officiating. Interment was in church cemetery. Biereley-Hale Funeral Home, Madisonville was in charge of arrangements.
