Leon E. Pressley, 78, of Lenoir City, formerly of Lowell, Ind., died Tuesday,
March 28, 2000, at Fort Sanders Parkwest Medical Center in Knoxville. An
ordained deacon and member of Dixie Lee Baptist Church, he was a member of
Iron Workers Local 395 in Hammond, Ind., a member of Chota Lodge 253 F&AM,
the Scottish Rite Bodies and a 32nd Degree Mason.
He was a veteran of World War II serving with the Navy. He was preceded in
death by his parents, Ernest Thomas and Cordie Seals Pressley; and sister,
Georgia Pressley Lawson.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia Ward Pressley; sons and
daughters-in-law, Travis Pressley of Lenoir City, Thomas and Sherry Pressley
of Kennesaw, Ga., and Richard and Linda Pressley of Crown Point, Ind.;
grandchildren, Leland Pressley and wife, Chanda, Brandon Pressley, Jennifer
Pressley, Brittney Pressley, Amber Pressley and Kaitlyn Pressley; brother and
sister-in-law, Arthur and Faye Pressley of Concord; sisters and
brothers-in-law, Ailene and Hal Henderson of Watts Bar and Imogene and Robert
Luttrell of Lowell, Ind.; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday in Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev.
Jim Clayton and Dr. Bruce Yates officiating. Interment will follow in
Pleasant Forest Cemetery with full military honors conferred by the U.S. Navy
and Masonic services conferred by Chota Lodge. The family will receive
friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Click Funeral
