MARGARET MAE SHOPE PRESLEY
1922 - 2000

                            Margaret Mae Shope Presley of Sweetwater, passed away at 5:45 p.m., 
                            Wednesday, May 24, at Blount Memorial Hospital, after a lengthy battle with 
                            cancer. She was born Oct. 15, 1922 in Yellow Creek, Graham County, N.C. 
                            She was 77. Preceded in death by: parents, the Rev. Jasper Marion and Minnie
                            Lequire Shope; brothers, Fred, Bill, Claude, Paul, Floyd, Leon and her twin brother, 
                            Ray Shope; sister, Cora Debuty; son, Ronald Ray Presley. Survivors include: son 
                            and daughter-in-law-Richard and Bennie Marie Presley of Alcoa;
                            Daughter-in-law-Judy Presley of Charleston, S.C.; Grandchildren-Kathrine
                            Marie Presley of Johnson City; Tommy Presley of Alcoa; Eric Allen, Brian
                            Thomas and Kelly Lynn Presley, all of Charleston; Several nieces and nephews;
                            One very special niece, Jean Pruitt, who helped care for her. The body is a
                            Kyker Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m.,
                            Friday, with funeral services to follow in Kyker’s Chapel, with the Rev.
                            Marvin “Bud” Millsaps officiating. Burial will be 2 p.m., Saturday, in West
                            View Cemetery. Kyker Funeral Home, Sweetwater, in charge of arrangements
