Mrs. Arlene Sprayberry Presley, age 81, of Gainesville, Ga., died Monday, November 5, 2001, at a private nursing home.

Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday, November 6, 2001, in the Little-Davenport Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Paul Evans will officiate with graveside services Wednesday, November 7, 2001, at Jefferson Memorial Gardens in Birmingham, Ala., at 3 p.m. CST.

The family will receive friends from 3 to 4 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Born in Coosa County, Ala., Mrs. Presley was the daughter of the late Hillary Edward and Nora Louise Bishop Sprayberry. She was a former resident of Dallas, Texas, having lived there over 60 years, and she also was a former resident of Birmingham, Ala. She was a member of Hunter Street Baptist Church in Birmingham, Ala. Mrs. Presley is preceded in death by husband, Ollie Lawrence Presley Sr.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers that memorial contributions be made to the American Lung Association.

Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Judy Presley, Gainesville; granddaughter and husband, Kim and Neil Yarrington, New Albany, Miss.; grandson and wife, Clint and Julie Presley, Jacksonville, Fla.; great-grandson, Jack Presley, Jacksonville, Fla.; son and daughter-in-law, Don and Dale Presley, Daphne, Ala.; granddaughter and husband, Alice and Kenny Pennington, Birmingham, Ala.; grandson, Ryan Presley, Birmingham, Ala.; and brother, Leroy Sprayberry, Odessa, Texas.
