JOHNSON, BETTY - age 84 of Loudon passed away Saturday morning May 19, 2001, at Wood Presbyterian Home. Betty was a charter member of Nelson Street Baptist Church, but had recently attended the Church of God. 

She was preceded in death by parents, John and Pearl Presley; husband, Fred S. Johnson; daughters, Shirley Mae Cummings Burns and Mary Nell Cummings.

Survivors: daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Tommy White of Paint Rock; grandchildren, Violet Gwen Burns of Toledo, OH, Fred Plemons of Loudon, Mike White of Mesa, AZ and Bobby White of Paint Rock; 11 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; sisters, Alma Phillips of Oklahoma and Alice Morgan of Lenoir City; brother, Avery Stinnett of Kingston; several nieces and nephews. 

Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Hawkins Chapel with Rev. A.J. Crawford officiating. Interment will follow in the Lake View Cemetery. Grandsons will serve as pall bearers. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the Hawkins Chapel 102 B Street in Lenoir City.
