Presley, Cecil Sr., 67, of Sweetwater, Tenn, died Friday in a hospital there following a lengthy illness.

A member and deacon at Fairview Baptist Tabernacle, he was also a member of Gideons International and was active in Home Missions with the Southern Home Mission Board. He was the owner of Presley Construction Co. in Sweetwater and was a recent author. He was a U. S. Navy Veteran of World War II and was the father of the late Mary Jane Presley.  He was the brother of the late Gordon, Lynn and Oley B. Presley.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Sue Fox Presley; son, Jimmie Presley, both of Sweetwater; two brothers, J.D. Presley, Ten Mile, Tenn.  and Glen Presley, Sweetwater; three grandchildren, James, Chris and Venus Presley, all of Sweetwater; several nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 3:30 p.m. today at Fairview Baptist Tabernacle with the Reverend Gerald Atkins and Ken Speakman officiating. Burial will be in Sweetwater Valley Memorial Park with military honors provided by VFW Post 5156.

Memorial contributions may be made to Gideons International. The body will be at the church 30 minutes before the service today. Arrangements by Kyker Funeral Home, Sweetwater.
