Obit: Coleman Benton Preslar

Mr. Coleman B. “C.B.” Preslar, 94, of Polkton, died December 27, 2002. Mr. Preslar was born on August 6, 1908, a son of the late Will and Dora Lee Preslar. He was married to the late Rosanna Floyd Preslar for over 59 years and was a lifetime member of Oakdale Baptist Church. Mr. Preslar was retired from the Anson County School System and was a self-employed farmer. Funeral services for Mr.Preslar were held December 30 in Oakdale Baptist Church with the Reverends Williard Singletary and Johnny Wilson officiating. In addition to his wife, Mr.Preslar was preceded in death by his grandsons, Barry Williams and Karry Williams; two brothers, Homer Preslar and Furman Preslar; and one sister, Onnie Lee Preslar. Surviving are his daughter, Mrs. Betty Jean Williams, and her husband Everette of Polkton; and numerous nieces and nephews; the family would also like to recognize his dear friend, Mr. John Gaddy, of Lillie Bennett Nursing Home. Memorials may be made to the Oakdale Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
