Earl Dan Presley, 76, of Gainesville died Sunday at Friendship Nursing Home in Cleveland following an extended illness. He was born in Hall County where he lived his entire life. He worked as a taxi driver and was of Baptist faith.

Survivors include his sons, Earl Danny Presley, Robert Lee Presley and Tony Presley, all of Gainesville; daughter, Pamela Janice Pittman, Pendergrass; brother, Junior Wooten, Lula; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2004, at Ward's Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Bobby Jones will officiate. Burial will be in Alta Vista Cemetery.
