Horace Durant Pressley, 72, of Beaufort, died Thursday at Sea Level Hospital.

Funeral is set for 10 a.m. Wednesday at Pollock-Wells and Best Funeral Home Chapel in
New Bern with the Rev. Dick Barber officiating. Burial will be in New Bern National Cemetery with full military honors.

He is survived by his widow, Vivian Hale Pressley; two sons, Richard Pressley of Florida,
Johnny Pressley of Mathew; three daughters, Patsy Deason, Shirley Thomas and Donna Simpson, all of Mathew; three brothers, Robert Pressley, Earl Pressley, both of Monroe, Raymond Pressley of Madison, VA; one sister, Louise Walden of Monroe; and nine grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. at the funeral home in New Bern and other times at the home of Eula Hale, 3007 Old Cherry Point Road.
