Mr. Larry Pressley
Barnwell, S.C. - Larry L. Pressley, 74, of Barnwell and Bluffton, died Tuesday in the Beaufort Memorial Hospital, Beaufort.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, in the Barnwell Memory Gardens Cemetery with the Rev. Billy Mew officiating.
Born in Augusta, Ga., he was a retired engineer at the Savannah River Plant. He was the son of the late Kelly Pressley and the late Hattie Trammell Pressley. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Barnwell and a member of the Harmony Masonic Lodge #17, Barnwell. He was a Navy veteran if WWII. He was first married to the late Bonta T. Pressley and was predeceased by a son, Denis Pressley.
Survivors include his wife, Peggy Tucker Pressley of Barnwell, and Bluffton; four sons, Donald Pressley of Oakton, Va., Michael Pressley of Paris, Ark., Perry Pressley of Roanoke, Va., and Terry Pressley of Barnwell; one stepson, Lacy Cheek of Barnwell; two stepdaughters, Sue Thorton of Barnwell, and Wanda Harter of Savannah; two brothers, Alan Pressley of Greenville, and Colin Pressley of Hendersonville, N.C.; ten grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday evening at Mole Funeral Home.
