Lucille Carroll Pressley, 84, a resident of Cleveland, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, March 13, 2002.

She was an active member of North Cleveland Church of God, where she served in several Christian education positions. She was a member of Unity Sunday school class and served as a deaconess. She was a former resident of Greenville, S.C. Over the years, she touched many lives as a child-care provider.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Amer Jackson Carroll and Bertie Cochran Carroll; and four brothers: Robert Carroll, Quintin Carroll, J.B. Carroll and R. Leonard Carroll. Survivors include her husband, Arthur G. Pressley of Cleveland; two daughters and sons-in-law: Wanda and Glenn Dent of Cleveland, and Pamela and Laud Vaught of Las Vegas, Nev.; three grandchildren: Kaylee Vaught, Madison Vaught and Christian Vaught; and two sisters: Joy Dixon of Greenville, S.C., and Rama Waters of Severn, Md.

The funeral will be Saturday at 7 p.m. at North Cleveland Church of God with Pastor Mitch Maloney and the Rev. Jack Smith officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday from 4 to 7 p.m. at North Cleveland Church of God prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to North Cleveland Church of God Building Fund, 335 11th Street, Cleveland, TN 37311.

Graveside service will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at Graceland Cemetery in Greenville, S.C., with Dr. F. J. May officiating. For additional information phone Grissom Funeral Home at 476-8575, which has charge of arrangements.
