RICHARD THOMASON
GAINESVILLE, GEORGIA

                    Memorial Park Funeral Home announces the death of
                    Richard Thomason, age 55, of 22l3 Athens Highway,
                    Gainesville. Mr. Thomason died Wednesday, May 17, 2000
                    at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.

                    Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday, May 19,
                    2000 in the Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel with Rev.
                    Howell Stover officiating. Interment will be in the Zion Baptist
                    Church Cemetery, Suches, Georgia.

                    The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday,
                    May 18, 2000 at the funeral home.

                    Survivors include his wife, Mary Ellen Thomason; daughters,
                    Vandora Mechelle Thomason; Vanessa Marie Brooks;
                    Vicky Mae Pressley; Paula Ann Blankenship; all of
                    Gainesville; brothers, J. D. Thomason, Oakwood; J.T.
                    Thomason, Maysville; sisters, Rosie Lourene Lee, Jefferson;
                    Connie Ruth Jackson, Nicholson, and four grandchildren.

                    Memorial Park Funeral Home of Gainesville is in charge of
                    arrangements.
