Isaac Presley was born September 6, 1828 in South Carolina, the third child of  Richard Presley and Dicey Cornwell who raised their children in Monroe County, Tennessee. Isaac Presley first married Martha Smith in 1851 in Monroe County, Tennessee.  Martha Smith Presley died 23 October 1864.  Isaac and Martha Smith Presley had five children.  They moved from Monroe C0unty, Tennessee to Greene County, Missouri about 1853.

Isaac Presley's second wife was Ellen Jane Trantham, born 12 February 1832 in North Carolina.  She is pictured above with him.  They were married on 18 August 1863 in Greene County, Missouri.  Ellen was the daughter of Joseph Trantham and Sarah Michael. (Ellen's sister sister, Louise Trantham, married Isaac Presley's brother,  Joseph Mathis Presley. ) 

Ellen Trantham Presley died in 1883 and Isaac Presley married once more to Mary Louisa King who died in 1888. Isaac Presley died 14 April 1895 in what is now the town of Heady in  Greene County, Missouri.
