William Jessie Pressley was born 15 September 1925 in Tennessee, the eldest child of Luther Bayless "Elbee" Pressley and his wife Rosa of Harriman, Roane County, Tennessee.  They raised a large family of children.  Willie was the grandson of Holiday Pressley (1880 - 1932)
and Sallie Kitchens (1884 - 1943) of Monroe County, Tennessee.

As a young man William Jessie Pressley enlisted in the United States Army and served his country during World War II.  Returning home safely he married Dixie Louise Russell and they raised two sons in Roane County.  Willie Pressley delivered milk for Norris Creamery while raising his sons and the family worshipped within the Baptist community.

Willie died 23 May 2003 in Harriman, Tennessee and is buried there at Roane Memorial Gardens.  Willie's grandson, Gabe Pressley and his wife Donna, are the owners and
submitters of these photos.
