Georgia, Pickens County:

I, T. Pressley of said State and County, being of sound and disposing mind and memory do make this my last will and testament, hereby revoking all others that I have made.

 ITEM 1

I, desire that my body be buried in a decent and Christian manner the details of which I leave to my children.

ITEM 2 

I, Will bequeath and debise (sic) all my property which is situated in Cullan (sic) County, Ala., to my three children to-wit, Rhoda Cantrell, Pat Pressley and M.T. Pressley, also desire that Emma Pressley, (or the widow of my son Sam Pressley,) have the sum of fifty Dollars.

ITEM 3 

It is my will that after my death and all expenses have been paid that three children mentioned in Item 2, devide this property or sell same and then to share equally.

 ITEM 4

I hereby make my son Pat Pressley Executor of this my last will and testament.

Declared published signed and sealed by T. Pressley as his last will and testament in the presents of the undersigned as witnesses, he first signing in our presence, and we then signing in his presence and in the presence of each other.

I, W.C. Westbrook, Ordinary and ex-Officio Clerk of the Court of Ordinary of said County, do hereby certify that I have compared the foregoing copy of THE WILL OF T. PRESSLEY, deceased, late of Pickens County, Georgia, as shown in Book of Wills, page 322, records Court of Ordinary Pickens Co., Ga. with the original record thereof, now remaining in this office, and the same is a correct transcript thereof, and of the whole of such original record.

To the Hon. Elias Whitefield, ordinary of said County:

The petition of Pat Pressley, a resident of said county and nominated executor of the last will of T. Pressley, also a resident of said County, who died on the 3rd day of November 1924, owning valuable real and personal estate in said State disposed of by said Will, amounting to the sum of Two Thousand Dollars, and which remains to be administered, respectfully showeth that said T. Pressley, died testate, that his Will is herewith presented for probate at the regular term of the Court of Ordinary of said County in common form; that your petitioner was named in said Will as its executor; Wherefore, your petitioner prays leave to prove said Will in common form, and, the issuing to him of letters testamentary upon his taking the oath of office.

with ____ and ____ at the request of T. Pressley and in his presence and in the presence of each other, did attest as witnesses the within writing as T. Pressley’s will; that he was at the time of said attestation and signing by him of sound and disposing mind and memory; that he executed the within paper voluntarily.

The above Petition of Pat Pressley nominated executor of the last alleged Will of T. Pressley, duly filed, having been supported by proper proof of Allen E. Pettett, J.R. Lawson and M.W. Fitts a witness to said Will, and that said T. Pressley died a resident of said County; that they and the other witnesses, ______and ______saw him sign and heard him publish the alleged Will as his own last Will, that they attested the same as a witness at his request, and in his presence with _____and _____so attesting also at his request; that said T. Pressley was, at the time of said signing and attestation, of sound and disposing mind and memory, and did, in the execution of said Will, act freely and voluntarily; it is ordered that the same be duly recorded, having been fully proved in common form, said letters testamentary issue to him upon his taking the oath of office.

Pressley, deceased, late of Pickens County, Georgia, together with the order probating same, and admitting it to record, with the oath of the Executor of said last will and testament, as shown by Minute Book “A”, Page 164, records Court of Ordinary of Pickens County, Georgia, with the original record thereof now remaining in this office, and the same is a correct transcript therefrom, and of the whole of such original record.
