WILL OF LEVI PRESLAR

MECKLENBURG COUNTY, NORTH CAROLINA

13 FEBRUARY 1840

In the name of God Amen

 

I Levi Preslar of the State if Nor Carolina and county of Mecklenburg being old am weak in body but in perfect sence and memory thanks be to God for his murcy and  cauling to mind the mortality of my body and knowing that it is appointed for all men once to die

 

I do make and ordain this my Last will and Testament that is to say prinsepelly and first of all I gave my Sole to God that gave it and my body I Recommend to the Earth To Be Buried in a decent christian manner at the discretion of my Extr nothing doubting but at the greater Resurrection I shal receive it again By the mighty powers of God and as Touching souch worly Estate as it hath pleased God to bless me with in this life I gave and dispose of it in the following manner

 

To Anna Preslar the mare and two cows and calvs during her Widowhood and to Lucinda Preslar one cow and Calf one feather Bed and furniture and as much Kitchen furniture as the others got and to Joel Preslar The House one cow and calf hogs and the Land and his mother is to have her support  after the Land and the priivelge of the house and he is to have a saddle and Lucinda a saddle and John W. Preslar one cow and calf and as much Housal furniture as the others and Alvin Preslar Two Track of Land Known By the Rone Tract and Prowder Tract joining together But he has to advance one hundred Dollars in Return and give him a good indulgence and the cotton gin to be sold and other articles That the Executor thinks necessary Equator and Equaly divided. 

 

I constitute Elias Preslar and John W. Preslar my Executors in Whom I place confidence and disannul all other forms and Wills This the 13th  of February 1840.
